CNSST Foundation (CNSST), formerly known as Chinese New Settlers Services Trust, together with NZ Wushu Academy, are holding Chinese kung-fu wushu classes in schools and at their centres.

Martial arts or Wushu, have been created and developed for self-defence and survival throughout human history. Proper Chinese Wushu training improves physical ability, health, and willpower; it gives an individual an excellent method of exercise, a personal art form, a competitive sport, and a basis for sparring and self-defence. These abilities will also help learners through out their lives in any other sports and activities they might learn in the future.

Learning martial arts can improve your child’s health and self-defense; enhance your child’s strength, endurance, flexibility and agility; develop your child’s mind and improve your concentration; practicing martial arts requires standard sitting and standing postures, which can correct your child’s hunched back in time. Problems such as sloping shoulders, promote children’s physical development; cultivate teenagers’ self-confidence and sense of achievement; experience rich traditional Chinese culture.
